Social deduction games are made to bring others together to achieve a common goal. The way social deduction games are made <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <the="" way="" social="" deduction="" games="" are="" made="" <="" span="">are carefully constructed to fit all of the requirements that the game needs. This brings in multiple aspects of thinking when coming up with how the game is played. One example <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <this="" brings="" in="" multiple="" aspects="" of="" thinking="" when="" coming="" up="" with="" how="" the="" game="" is="" played.="" one="" example="" <="" span="">of this is how much direct and indirect interaction happens in the game. To make the game fair, each party should have different interaction techniques to give the players a sense of communication while playing. There are games in class where everyone had to close their eyes and the opposing team would look around and find their group. Or there were other instances where each player tries to find their group party by carefully showing their role to other players. A risk for a reward type of game. The goals should be properly outlined so that everyone knows what they are shooting for. There <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <the="" goals="" should="" be="" properly="" outlined="" so="" that="" everyone="" knows="" what="" they="" are="" shooting="" for.="" <="" span=""><there< span="">should </there<>also be challenge to reach the goal to make the gameplay more satisfying when your team beats the opposing team. Lastly, the theme and the storytelling that the game presents to the players should have a lasting impact for the game to become as surreal as possible. There are a few ideas that come to mind when thinking of my own social deduction game. Some are more fleshed out than others but have <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <there="" are="" a="" few="" ideas="" that="" come="" to="" mind="" when="" thinking="" of="" my="" own="" social="" deduction="" game.="" some="" more="" fleshed="" out="" than="" others="" but="" have="" <="" span="">a general idea across. One game could involve different ocean creatures that try to figure out the missing mystery of their friend. Each round could consist of people giving out new cards of evidence around the scene that better describes the events that occurred. This would give players the full story once different pieces of evidence come together. <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <then="" give="" one="" of="" the="" players="" full="" story="" once="" different="" pieces="" evidence="" come="" together.="" <="" span="">However, there would be some players that were involved in the mystery that try to throw off other players with bogus cards that misleads what happened to the missing sea creature. The end goal should be to come together and give the best guess as to what happened to the missing creature and the closest person to get the events right wins. There are still bits and pieces that have not been discussed yet such as how involved the enemy team would <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW199098759 BCX0" <the="" enemy="" team="" would<="" span="">be throughout the investigation. Also, what kinds of clues would there be to piece everything together the right way. Lastly, the overall theme can change depending on where the events occur. It could be in the ocean like I said before or it could be in different environments all together to give different themes after each game.
