A downloadable game
We played a game in class but it's hard to remember the title. But it consisted of players trying to gather item cards to have the chance to win the game. So there are many different types of cards in the game that are used for the player to try to have the upper hand against everyone else. For instance, there are special cards that impact how many cards can be drawn in a singular turn. In other games, this would have a negative impact on whoever receives it. However, for this game, it's as if the more cards you have, the more likely you have a chance of winning. There are requirement cards that require two specific item cards to be played to win. So if someone has the right items in their hand when that card is played, then they have the opportunity to win. The item cards are the special cards that are needed to win. They can be people, weapons, vehicles, or food. The ways the players can obtain them is to either get lucky and draw for one or have a steal card with you to steal the item from another player. The game is fun and there is a lot more to it than what was described. There also exists a zombie version where the entire gameplay is switched around which keeps the formula of the game fresh. The other game I got to learn about was Blank Slate. Luckily, this game is way easier to understand than the last. So the game starts with three to eight players. Everyone is handed a small whiteboard card to write things down on. There is a card box full of words that are not completed. Lastly, there is a scoreboard that keeps track of each of the player's points. So a card is drawn at random and it contains a half-finished word such as "candy blank". Everyone playing puts down on their empty card what word or verb that can finnish the word candy. It could be candy bar or candy wrapper for instance. Once everyone finishes writing their word, all of the cards are put onto the ground. If there are matching words that people came up with then they receive a point. The point gets tallied up and whoever gets the most points wins. If all the word cards are played, then there are new words on the back of each card to lengthen the game. It's a fun game where everyone can see who has the same thought process for words that they see.
